At the Edge of the Forest

On the road I happened upon a recently abandoned stool. I wondered about it's owner. Where they resting? Watching the trees? Having lunch perhaps?
And why did they leave the stool?

I’ve been focused on developing my style with a focus on the speed of getting my ideas on paper and refining the visual language. This came at the cost of many half finished and discarded drawings, probably a full book’s worth of them.
I am happy where I am now and ready to regularly make illustrations again!
